A 420-pound man has died after the stretcher being used to load him into an ambulance tipped over, spilling him into the street... Earlier this year it was revealed that medics were considering using a Chinook helicopter to take Britain's heaviest man to hospital after ruling out conventional methods of transport. In 2002 Mr Mason had to be transported from his bed using a forklift truck after paramedics and firemen were unable to lift him.
